Safety Moment August
As students and teachers prepare to return to school, it's important to keep safety top of mind. Whether you're walking to school, riding the bus, or driving yourself, there are steps you can take to stay safe. Be sure to follow traffic rules and signals, wear bright or reflective clothing, and use designated crosswalks. If you're driving, be aware of school zones and speed limits, and always be on the lookout for pedestrians. Additionally, make sure you're aware of the school's emergency procedures and know how to respond in case of an emergency. By taking these simple steps, we can all help ensure a safe and successful school year.
At Bios Kosmos Church, your safety is our top priority. If you have any concerns related to safety or legal issues, please do not hesitate to contact us. We take all concerns seriously and will work to address them promptly and appropriately. To report a safety or legal concern, please use the form below or email us at Safety@kosmoschurch.org. To become a member volunteer or employee at Bios Kosmos Church, a background check will be required. This is to ensure that individuals with a history of criminal activity do not have access to children or vulnerable populations. According to O.C.G.A 19-11-9, all volunteers who work with children must undergo a criminal background check and fingerprinting. Additionally, volunteers must complete a child safety training program before working with children. Bios Kosmos Church takes child safety very seriously, and all volunteers must adhere to the guidelines and procedures put in place to protect children from abuse and neglect.
If any volunteer or employee at Bios Kosmos Church witnesses or suspects abuse or neglect of a child, they are required to report it immediately to the appropriate authorities. Volunteers and employees must follow the guidelines and procedures put in place by the church to ensure that all reports of abuse are handled appropriately.
In addition to reporting abuse, Bios Kosmos Church also provides resources and support for those who have experienced abuse or neglect.
